Two centuries, the twelfth and thirteenth centuries on the ruins of a Byzantine church .. and the Church of John the Baptist, which was built in 1115 and was completed in phases during the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, a small cube and a mosque was established in 1648 and some restorations due to the modern Mamluk and Ottoman.
The fortress of Byblos, which is steeped in history and its originality and the smell of human struggle to build its civilization, extends so far. It is the fortress that embraced this momentum with pride and splendor in front of the Mediterranean coast.
